This is a true west coast style IPA full of citrus and grapefruit aroma. It is going to be very similar in flavor to Firestone Walker Union Jack which is one of my favorite IPAs of all time. It comes in right at 63 IBUs with Cascade, Simcoe, Amarillo, Nugget and Centennial hops. This recipe was an immediate favorite of everyone that sampled it the first few times we brewed it!
Available in an all grain or extract version, both come in right at 7% ABV.
Extract version is made with DME and steeping grains. Steeping grains are packed in a muslin grain bag perfect for steeping. 5 1/2 gallon recipe.
All grain recipe is based on a 5 1/2 gallon recipe at 70% efficiency.
